Management & Training Corporation (MTC) International is looking for a Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Lead for the anticipated activity in the Mpumalanga province ofSouth Africa. This activity focuses on skills development that connects TVET graduates to jobs by supporting innovative and specialized programs for green occupations in non-energy sectors and related entrepreneurial capabilities. The initiative will broaden the economic diversification goals of the province while ensuring job creation and quality of life in affected energy transition communities is raised.
Based in the Mpumalanga province, the TVET Lead will play a critical role in enhancing and developing education and training programs forTVET institutions that reflect private sector needs in green non-energy sector skills.
· Lead the development and implementation of accredited innovative programs in collaboration with TVET institutions.
· Establish partnerships with industry and private sector stakeholders to ensure curricula and training relevance and alignment with job market needs in sustainable green skills in non-energy sectors.
· Build private sector participation in work-based opportunities.
· Evaluate the impact of curriculum and training program changes on student outcomes and employment readiness; gathering feedback from students, educators, and industry partners to inform continuous improvement.
· Bachelor's degree and relevant experience in technical and vocational education and training. Master’s Degree or higher is preferable though equivalent experience will be equitably evaluated.
· Knowledge of current trends in education, particularly in technical and vocational education.
· Experience with green-related curricula is a plus.
· Demonstrated ability to collaborate with educators, industry partners, and government agencies to develop and implement curriculum changes.
· Strong project management, analytical, and evaluation skills.
· Minimum of ten years of professional experience with preference for and knowledge of technical and vocational education in South Africa and Southern Africa region.
· Ability to provide written reporting in English for the project.
