GIZ International Services is shortlisted for the EU-funded tender „ Support to the Ministry of Education in further development of NQF Level 5 qualifications and strengthening the resilience of the education system in Azerbaijan"    

The purpose of this contract is as follows:

To contribute to the modernisation and quality of the education system, including vocational education and training, in a lifelong learning context.

Your tasks

As the Team Leader (TL), the KE1 is in charge of coordinating the team and the overall supervision, administration, smooth implementation and reporting of the project and is the official communication person on behalf of the project.

Your profile

Qualifications and skills

  • University degree in Education, Vocational Education and Training, Public Policy, Economics, Social Sciences, Business Administration, or in its absence, a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the field mentioned above additional to the required general professional
    experience in the education sector;
  • Excellent spoken and written English (at least level 2 on a scale of 1 [excellent] to 5 [basic]);
  • An asset: working knowledge of Azerbaijani, Turkish or Russian.

General professional experience

  • At least 10 years of working experience in the education sector;
  • Experience in coordinating as Team Leader in minimum two assistance projects in the education sector (with minimum budget of 1 Million EUR each);
  • An asset: experience in a technical assistance project in the education sector in the EU Neighbourhood and/or IPA country.

Specific professional experience

  • At least 660 working days of working experience in developing policy and/or legal
    documents for the education sector in the past 8 years;
  • At least 440 working days of working experience in developing of NQF Level 5 qualifications in the past 8 years;
  • At least 220 working days of working experience in developing and/or implementation of capacity building programmes for NQF Level 5 qualifications in the past 8 years

Location Information

The operational base of the Programme will be Baku, Republic of Azerbaijan, with travel to relevant regions in Azerbaijan if necessary.
