SI is bidding on a proposal funded through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Côte d'Ivoire (CDI). MCC CDI is funding an evaluation of a CDI a Skills for Employability and Productivity Project ($155m) Activity which makes up approximately a quarter of the full $525m Compact which entered into force in Aug 2019. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Activity will establish three to four new TVET centers that will be developed and managed through public-private partnerships with industries in Côte d’Ivoire. In addition, the TVET Activity will support the development of a permanent tracer study system and a national accreditation system for TVET centers.
SI is seeking a Senior-level TVET Evaluation Consultant to support in the all phases of the upcoming evaluation of the TVET Activity under MCC Cote d’Ivoire.
Position is contingent upon the award of the contract to Social Impact. Anticipated award date is fall 2023.
Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Ivorian citizenship will be considered.
Provide technical advice and expertise across TVET to develop appropriate evaluation tools and instruments. Participate in data collection efforts. Provide inputs to the evaluation report.
Minimum of a Master's degree in a relevant field.
A minimum of 10 years of experience in education and technical and vocational training research and evaluation.
Experience in evaluation designs and qualitative and quantitative methods.
Experience working with or discussing technical issues with government officials or international donors.
Experience with MCC is a plus.
Relevant professional experience with business surveys and data collection in Francophone West Africa.
Fluency in English is required; proficiency in French is preferred
