For the position of Senior Project Manager with focus on Latin America, we are looking for an experienced Economist or social scientist with a background in international vocational education and training.
As a project manager, you will be responsible for project management, leading the project team and coordinating with external partners. Your tasks include the autonomous acquisition, conception and implementation of internationally oriented research and consultancy projects in different educational fields, but especially in international VET cooperation (technical as well as financial cooperation). As a consultant, you will also support our clients and their target groups in the implementation of practice oriented development and implementation projects, if necessary temporarily abroad. You represent FiBS to clients and the professional public and present the results of your work in written and oral format events or in relevant media.
- Successful studies (PhD if applicable) in economics or social sciences or a related discipline
- Professional experience as a researcher and/or consultant in the field of economics or social sciences; experience abroad in Latin America is an advantage
- In-depth knowledge of international VET research and consultancy in this field; concrete experience in consultancy projects in international VET as a short-term and/or long-term expert would be an advantage
- Concrete experience in the conception and implementation of studies to forecast the demand for skilled workers; experience in the field of (green) energy is an advantage
- Experience in designing and conducting feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for the implementation of innovative learning models in the field of VET
- Experience in the preparation of reports and the presentation of research and consulting results, as well as in dealing with decision-makers in politics, business, society and science
- Comprehensive knowledge of quantitative social science research methods
- Strong analytical and methodological skills
- Excellent language skills in Spanish and English; knowledge of German is an advantage
