JOB PURPOSE

This person is responsible for identifying the demand for skills in the informal sector by ensuring that learners and Master Craft Persons (MCP) are selected based on criteria and guidelines that will oversee the quality of skills training provided to participants. Additionally, they will work to place participants in decent jobs within the informal sector to develop MCPs as competent trainers and providing technical support to field staff to ensure quality implementation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Conduct staff capacity-building training, refreshers, and need-based hands-on training and conduct different orientations, (learners- parents, MCP and TT) Meetings (Coordination, MCP-TT linkage, and Bazar committee) and communicate with different stakeholders.
  • Ensure the selection of learners and Master Craft Persons (MCP), Technical Trainers (TT), Peer Leaders, and training room. as per criteria and guidelines by checking at the participant level.
  • Develop and review the technical guidelines, and training module aligned with the BRAC Skill Development Programme (SDP).
  • Conduct relevant workshops, meetings, and regular field-level coordination with SDP focal at the regional and district level where applicable.
  • Ensure a decent workplace in the informal sector -Occupational Safety & Health, Personal Protective Equipment, 3S (Short out, Set on order Sweep up/Sweeping) and develop MCP as a competent trainer.
  • Identify the needs of the targeted people including staff and provide technical support for them through regular field visits.
  • Ensure the documentation of all the relevant processes of enterprise implementation, information, lessons learned for sharing, knowledge management, etc. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and yearly reports and send them to the supervisor.

SAFEGUARDING RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure the safety of Programme Participants, people who come into contact with the organisation and team members from any harm, abuse, neglect, harassment and exploitation including sexual exploitation and abuse (SEA) to achieve the programme's goals of safeguarding implementation. Act as a key source of support, guidance and expertise on safeguarding for establishing a safe working environment.
  • Practice, promote and endorse the issues of safeguarding policy among team members and ensure the implementation of safeguarding standards in every course of action.
  • Follow the safeguarding reporting procedure in case any reportable incident takes place and encourage others to do so.

  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.

  • Proficient in MS office Applications

EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Masters in any discipline preferably from Agriculture/ Social Science/ MBA/ Marketing

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Minimum 1 year experience in technical and vocational education or skills sector (Government/Non-Government)
