Programme Manager (PM) is responsible for Save the Children International’s (SCI) Livelihoods and Education portfolios in Hatay. The post holder will ensure that all livelihoods and education projects are implemented according to a workplan and with high quality, reports are submitted on time, and donor policies and regulations are followed with regards to financial, administrative and visibility compliance. PM will be responsible for management of relationships with partners regarding timely implementation of project activities.
PM is also expected to contribute to new project design, and represent and advocate for Save the Children’s work and organizational priorities in relevant sectors with external parties, including government representatives, communities, donors, UN and other humanitarian agencies operating in the area.
Bachelor’s degree, and preferably post-graduate university degree, in social sciences.
At least 5 years demonstrated experience in programme management in humanitarian or development sectors, particularly Livelihoods or Early Recovery programmes
Strong understanding of local market needs in early recovery phase, technical knowledge on TVET, employability and entrepreneurship programmes with a focus on adolescents and youth
Understanding of humanitarian and development issues, vulnerable populations’ needs, and social cohesion
Previous experience of managing and coaching a team, project management and partnership management
Experience of and commitment to working through systems of community participation and accountability
Demonstrated monitoring and evaluation skills
Experience and ability to represent an organization effectively in external forums.
A high level of written and spoken English and Turkish
Desirable:
Expertise in Livelihoods and Education
Experience or knowledge of working and living in relevant regions/contexts
Politically and culturally sensitive with qualities of patience, advocacy, communication, and tact
Experience of preparing successful funding proposals for donors
Speaking skills in Arabic
Position holder will be based in Hatay, therefore legal right to work in Türkiye is necessary at the time of application. Applications will be evaluated in a rolling basis.
