The position is contingent and subject to donor approval.
The position is mainly responsible to provide day-to-day technical support to the PNGO’s staff. S/he will provide technical support on clarifying concept of employability/soft skills, TVET skills, entrepreneurship to PNGO’s staff. Moreover, S/he will provide capacity building support the project staff of implementing partners. The position will also provide extensive support to project team to create job linkage support. S/he will sit with all project staffs on a regular basis to ensure smooth field level implementation and assist them in mitigating any challenges. S/he will participate in regular calls to update the member country and SCUS representatives on the program implementation` and to prepare reports where and when required. She/he will engage local level relevant stakeholders and private sectors to support community to bring a positive change.
The position holder needs to have sound technical knowledge on vocational skill components, employability skills, entrepreneurship development and a strong understanding of what makes an effective skill training program and GESP program. S/he will provide overall support to training centre and hub-related activities such as career counselling, job linkage, training delivery and business plan development. Moreover, S/he will be involved in the planning and execution of the project activities and ensure that the objectives and results of the project are met to the satisfaction of the participants, local stakeholders, partners, Save the Children and donors. The Position holder will provide support in GESP project implementation to the project lead, where and when necessary.
• At least 4 years’ experience in project/program implementation and partner management, especially in education and skills development program.
• Clear understanding and competency on project/program management and skills training program management.
• Experience in implementing skills training program, youth development, soft skills, stakeholder engagement, internal and external communication, and program monitoring.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Statistics/Social Science, Education, Development Studies or relevant field. Additional professional certificates of relevant course on TVET will get preference.
