The organisation’s business area - GIZ International Services - is the vehicle for offering GIZ’s services to international clients.

GIZ International Services is currently participating in the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation (SDC) tender for the ASEAN Swiss TVET Initiative (ASTI).

ASTI will support the conceptualization, development and implementation of a uniform workplace-based learning (WBL) concept for unemployed young people; especially those with limited education, early school leavers and low skilled workers. They will be equipped with labour market relevant skills that enable better employability and integration into the formal Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) system. (The Myanmar component is optional, depending on the situation in the country and will in any case be implemented by a consortium partner.) Hence, through the partnership with relevant Ministries it will support the national governments in CLM in their endeavour to extend TVET for various target groups including disadvantaged populations and in line with the ASEAN Declaration on Out-of-School Children and Youth (OOSCY). This will be implemented in selected sectors (such as: manufacturing including garments and furniture production, agriculture including agro-processing, construction or tourism) for specific occupational profiles and coordinated on a regional level (CLM). ASTI will also support industry representatives (Chambers/Federation/Associations) and implementing companies in setting up and conducting WBL.

Your tasks
