Viet Nam’s economy has developed rapidly in the past two decades. Annual growth rates of around 7% have made Viet Nam a lower middle-income country. This achievement is however put at risk by the increasing consumption of resources, environmental degradation, the effects of climate change and a significant shortage of skilled workers, estimated at just 26% of the national workforce. The Programme Reform of TVET in Vietnam aims to better align TVET to the changing world of work which will be increasingly digital and green.
