Job Description

Social Impact is a global development management consulting firm. We provide monitoring, evaluation, strategic planning, and capacity building services to advance development effectiveness. We work across all development sectors including democracy and governance, health and education, the environment, and economic growth. Since 1997 we have worked in over 100 countries for clients such as US government agencies, bilateral donors, multilateral development banks, foundations, and nonprofits.

Proposal Objective:

SI is bidding on a proposal funded through the Millennium Challenge Corporation (MCC) Côte d'Ivoire (CDI). MCC CDI is funding an evaluation of a CDI a Skills for Employability and Productivity Project ($155m) Activity which makes up approximately a quarter of the full $525m Compact which entered into force in Aug 2019. The Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Activity will establish three to four new TVET centers that will be developed and managed through public-private partnerships with industries in Côte d’Ivoire. In addition, the TVET Activity will support the development of a permanent tracer study system and a national accreditation system for TVET centers. ​

Position Description:

SI is seeking an in-country Ivorian coordinator to support in the implementation and logistics for the upcoming evaluation of the TVET Activity under MCC Cote d’Ivoire.

Position is contingent upon the award of the contract to Social Impact. Anticipated award date is fall 2023.

**Please note: This is a local position. Only candidates with Ivorian citizenship will be considered.**

Responsibilities:

  • Engage in relationship management with client and consultants on consulting contract, logistical, and coordination-related issues
  • Plan for and coordinate qualitative research events to include individual and small group interviews such as with transportation officials, implementers, or private sector representatives.
  • Liaise with key stakeholders in-country.
  • Assist any foreign-based evaluation team members in communication and completion of tasks, such as data collection.

Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum of a bachelor’s degree.
  • A minimum of two years’ experience in research and evaluation.
  • Experience working with or discussing technical issues with government officials or international donors.
  • Experience working in the TVET sector preferred.
  • Experience with MCC is a plus.
  • Fluency in English and French is required.
