Summary of Position: IREX seeks a qualified Gender and Social Inclusion in TVET Expert for the anticipated four-year MCC-funded Energy Skills for the Future Activity as part of the Just and Equitable Transition and Acceleration Project (JETA) in Kosovo. Based in Prishtina, the GESI Expert will be responsible for identifying best practices and develop and implement strategies to recruit, support, and graduate female trainees at equal rates to men in the program. He/She will also seek to identify and implement strategies to promote the full participation and success of minority populations in the program. He/She will also liaise closely with the offeror procured to design and implement the Inclusive Energy Sector Workforce Activity to identify and take advantage of synergies with that activity. Education/training: Bachelor’s degree (Masters or PhD degree is preferred) in Public Policy, Gender Studies, Social Studies, Anthropology, Public Administration, relevant professional field. Languages: Knowledge of English, C1 in the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages; knowledge of Albanian and other local languages relevant to Kosovo will be an asset. General professional experience: At least 8 years of general experience with gender and social inclusion. Specific professional experience: 5 years of experience with gender inclusion in the context of education/training and/or women’s workforce participation, with preference for prior experience in technical vocational education and training. Extensive experience with inclusive stakeholder consultation, and with ensuring the input and voices of under-represented groups, including women; Prior experience working on projects related to technical training, in the energy or adjacent sectors will be an asset. Regional experience: 2 years of work experience on similar projects in the Western Balkan region.
