The Private Sector-Led Workforce Development (PSWD) Activity is a five-year USAID-funded activity in Kosovo. The Activity will seek to harness the leadership of the private sector as a change agent to develop sustainable and innovative models to develop the Kosovo workforce in partnership with technical and vocational education and training (TVET) institutions in Sector Workforce Councils.
Under the guidance of the Ecosystem Relationships Manager, the Ecosystem Engagement Associate will support efforts to coordinate activities of Component 3 and to build platforms for mutually beneficial collaboration and information sharing between the technical staff, program partners, and stakeholders. They will support planning and coordinating tasks during various program activities. The post holder will provide coordination and logistics support for the private sector and diaspora engagement and will support the organizing of meetings and events that support strengthening the workforce ecosystem in the focus sectors of the Activity. The Ecosystem Engagement Associate will work with the Communications Officer to support the promotion of outreach activities and results related to Component 3-supported interventions.
Your Background & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in a relevant field (e.g., education or workforce policy, economics, communication, human/youth development, international development).
- Minimum of 1+ years of progressively responsible training and events management experience with progressive responsibility in a professional office and/or training setting.
- Experience working with and understanding of TVET/education/workforce and private sector in Kosovo.
- Experience building and strengthening workforce development partnerships with the private sector and other stakeholders is preferred.
- Experience in priority high-growth sectors (ICT, Wood Processing, Agribusiness, Energy) is preferred.
- Experience working on USAID-funded programs and/or other international donor-funded development projects is preferred.
- Ability to communicate professionally and provide written reports in English is required.
- Demonstrated ability to design and facilitate events and workshops, including strong facilitation and presentation skills.
- Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize work based on identified priorities.
- Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel).
- Positive attitude and willingness to support and assist colleagues.
- Strong coordination and organizational skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cooperatively with team members, partner organizations, and stakeholders from government, private sector, and education institutions.
- Detail-oriented with ability to multitask and adjust priorities in a fast-paced working environment in order to adhere to strict deadlines.
- You must have unrestricted authorization to work in Kosovo.
Your Daily Tasks
- Complete administrative duties and tasks that are integral to the Activity’s events and activities, in close coordination with the technical staff and management.
- Provide logistics support in the organizing of Quarterly Council Exchanges and Learning Summits, which includes scheduling, organizing, contacting participants, preparing agendas, taking a register, etc.
- Support diaspora engagement activities.
- Under the guidance of the Ecosystem Relationships Manager, collaborate with the Communications Office to provide materials and information on communications-related matters.
- Under the guidance of the Ecosystem Relationships Manager, support the preparation of meeting minutes, reports, and other external-facing communication.
- Perform duties associated with administering, scheduling, organizing, and operating workshops, trainings, and events, including but not limited to drafting training materials, contacting participants, preparing agendas, taking a register, designing materials, overseeing the production and distribution of materials, coordinating logistics, and serving as a liaison among the different stakeholders.
- Contribute to the team’s effort by undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as requested.
- Under the guidance of the Ecosystem Relationships Manger, provide day-to-day support that promotes relationship building with private sector, learner, education institutions, policy makers and other stakeholders.
- Support the Ecosystem Relationships Manager in effective support and relationship building of public and private entities.
- Represent the project publicly.
- Includes travel throughout Kosovo.
- Support efficient communication between the ecosystem actors and Activity’s partners.
- Contribute to the team’s effort by undertaking additional tasks and responsibilities as requested.
- Ability to work cooperatively with team members, partner organizations, and stakeholders from government, private sector, and education institutions.
