Job Description

TITLE:

Content Coordinator (Digital and Campaigns) (For Myanmar National Only)

TEAM/PROGRAMME:

Child Poverty/ Programme Implementation    

LOCATION:

Yangon State

Number of Position: 1

GRADE: NAT- 3  

CONTRACT LENGTH: Fixed Term

CHILD SAFEGUARDING:

Level 3: the role holder will have contact with children and/or young people either frequently (e.g. once a week or more) or intensively (e.g. four days in one month or more or overnight) because they work in country programs; or are visiting country programs; ore because they are responsible for implementing vetting process staff.

ROLE PURPOSE:

Under the direct supervision and coordination of Project Manager and under the overall management of Head of Program (Child Poverty), The role of the Content Coordinator (Digial and Campaigns) is to support the development, coordination and the implementation of TVET project communications plan in Myanmar. This role works with programme and Programme information Management Unit to deliver our visibility, public engagement and influence work to achieve outcomes for children across three areas (Kachin, NSS and Kayin).
The post holder will lead on the development and implementation of communication plan as well as managing our digital channels, leading on campaigns communications,  content production for specific TVET project and content productions for the projects under Child Poverty Programme. The post-holder will be in charge of the development of written, multimedia and digital assets that will positive represent the work of TVET project for both externally and internally.
The post holder will work closely with the Program information Management Unit to produce social media assets of the stories from the field offices to promote TVET project agenda within Myanmar.

KEY AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY:

Digital Communications
•    Lead on developing the digital strategy of TVET project for social media platforms.
•    Develop a clear content plan for our digital channels and work with the team to ensure that content is collected and produced.
•    Manage project communications platforms including Facebook and Instagram, and also be responsible for social media content development
•    Ensure all digital platforms are updated on a regular basis. Maintain targets for content and ensure that we are conducting regular reviews of content through analytics, to measure performance and improve content.
•    Develop engaging materials, contents and graphics for our digital channels that deliver to project strategy
•    Provide regular project updates and stories for social media channels
•    Coordinate and support in production of multimedia outputs
•    Stay updated with the latest digital communications trends and tools and apply them to work

Campaign Communications
•    Support Project Manager by technical coordination with Program Information Unit to produce compelling content to support campaign activities across three target areas mainly.
•    Work with the Program Information Unit to develop and deliver high quality campaign communications strategies
•    Lead in the development of communications with communities, and behavioural change communications strategies for project and parter teams that have requested it

Content Planning
•    Produce accurate, clear and consistent information and communications outputs that highlight the TVET development situation in project specific area, including case studies, feature stories and digital posts and the communications products for the projects under Child Poverty Programme
•    Support the production of information and education materials for project and partner teams that have requested it
•    Translation of communications products, both internal and external communications for the Child Poverty Programme, if needed
•    Conduct ongoing risk assessment for the produced content and ensure relevant parties sign off before publishing content that might pose the risk to SCI, donor, local partners, staff or volunteers

Capacity Building
•    Develop and deliver regular training of project and partner staff on visual storytelling and case study creation, and Child Safeguarding in Media and Communications

Events
•    Host donor trips as necessary
•    Help organise external events for the project as necessary

Support for the wider communications strategies  
•    Support the other team member’ tasks when it’s necessary
•    Be an engage member in a project/Program Information Unit team
•    Work on ad hoc request by TVET Project Manager

Child Safeguarding Responsibilities
•    Develop specific and contextual project level guidance to ensure that children who participate in media or communications work are protected from exploitation, increased vulnerability, or any form of harm or indignity
•    Be a champion for child safeguarding in media and communications across the project

Person specifications Skills and experience:

QUALIFICATIONS  

Education

  • Must have University degree in Medicine (MD/MBBS), preferably with Master degree in Public health, Business Administration, Public Administration or other related area.


EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS


Essential

Skills and Experience: At least 4 years’ experience in advertising, communications, media management, event management, marketing, public relations, or any related field.  

Education: Bachelor Degree in communications, arts, fine arts, or any related field.

Communication and Technical Skills
•    Experience developing and delivering digital communications content
•    Experience managing corporate social media accounts with hands on experience in both production of content and amplification of reach
•    Experience of designing and delivering campaign communication strategies
•    Excellent English and Myanmar writing skills, with experience writing human-centred stories
•    Demonstrable graphic design skills, photo taking and video creation skills
•    Proficiency with required tools including Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Indesign, Adobe Premiere and Adobe Illustrator
•    Good understanding of the key components in brand management
•    Excellent personal organisational skills, including time management, and ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
•    Willingness to travel to field offices and work in difficult environment according to travel requirements
