Call for Consultancy: Education Sector Analysis, Albania

IIEP-UNESCO has opened a call for consultancy to support the analysis of the education system in Albania, with specific focus on its external efficiency and the relation between education and the labour market.

Please note that only Albanian candidates are eligible for this consultancy.

Required Qualifications

• An advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in Education, Labour Economics, or Social Sciences;
• Proven expertise, attested by a track record of publications, in the analysis of the education system, youth labour market outcomes and skills mismatch in Albania;
• Advanced knowledge of main surveys available in Albania covering labour market and education issues (Labour Force Survey, Living Standards Measurement Survey, administrative data on registered unemployment, Adult learning survey, etc.);
• Advanced analytical skills, including econometric analysis of cross-sectional and longitudinal datasets);
• (Desirable) Working experience in collection and analysis of primary qualitative data on education and the linkage to the world of work;
• Good knowledge of Albanian technical and vocational education policies and programmes;
• Excellent knowledge of Albanian (preferably native speaker);
• Excellent knowledge of English, both oral and writing.
