Kathrin Hoeckel has over 17 years of experience as education and skills specialist, analysing and evaluating policies, formulating skills grant schemes, advising private sector clients and organisations on training strategies, and designing innovative learning formats.
She has worked in and led diverse international teams, and is an experienced public speaker, and university lecturer. Her aim is to promote learning as a source of personal development and foundation for positive, sustainable transformation.
Kathrin has broad international experience as OECD Policy Analyst, (Learning for Jobs Reviews of TVET in several countries and working as coordinator of the OECD Skills Strategy) and is familiar with a large number of education and skills systems around the world.
Currently she works as an independent expert for EU, World Bank, GIZ, and the private sector to promote the development of relevant skills for a more sustainable economy and better cooperation of employers and the education sector.
Kathrin is also author of more than 15 publications about TVET, and is fluent in German, English, French, Spanish and Russian.
